CV1000 BENCHMARK IN MAME
========================

menu/cv1kbench.zip boots to a menu; pick a test or RUN ALL
autorun/cv1kbench.zip boots straight into RUN ALL

MAME has no driver for the benchmark, so it runs in place of Ibara. Each zip
holds the benchmark under Ibara's file names, and has to be renamed to
ibara.zip before MAME will find it. Keep it in its own folder, so it doesn't
replace your real ibara.zip.

1. Make a folder, for example cv1kbench/, copy one of the two zips into
it, and rename it to ibara.zip:

     cv1kbench/ibara.zip

2. Run from your MAME folder:

     mame ibara -rompath cv1kbench -nonvram_save

-rompath makes MAME look in that folder first, so it finds the benchmark
   instead of the game.

-nonvram_save matters. MAME saves Ibara's graphics flash to
nvram/ibara/nand on exit, and on the next start loads it from there in
place of the ROM. Without this flag the benchmark's blank flash would be
saved, and your real Ibara would then boot with no graphics. If that has
   already happened, delete nvram/ibara/.

3. MAME will warn that the ROMs have wrong checksums. That's expected: they
aren't Ibara. Press any key to continue.
